Following on from my debut album “A Wee Taste O’ Andy” I am proud to introduce “Big Kilmarnock Bunnet”. My new album has an eclectic selection of songs from Gaelic to Cockney! I love songs that make me smile.

There was no masterplan in selecting the songs, I just followed my instinct!

Some songs are hundreds of years old - I am passionate about keeping them alive.

Some are soul searching and philosophical; one in particular tries to answer the age old question - “Who Put The Bomp In The Bomp A Bomp A Bomp”?

I could not have done this without the immensely talented Clark Sorley, who arranged and produced the album.

Scottish music legend Alastair McDonald has very kindly given many hours of his time playing a variety of instruments, and contributing backing vocals on a number of the tracks. In fact, the first track, Lugton Dug, is one of Alastair’s songs, which he kindly allowed me to cover.
